Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys (Dunn) Snider, 94, Butler, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Butler with Rev. Charles Murphy, Rev. Roy Rowland and Rev. Jim Shepherd officiating.

Mrs. Snider died Friday morning at Clinton Regional Hospital. She was born May 25, 1901 in the Stafford area, the daughter of Emerson and Nellie (Chapman) Dunn.

She was married to Thurston V. Snider on Sept. 14, 1922, and he preceded her in death in 1974. She had lived on a farm south of Butler since 1929. She was a long-time member of the Methodist Church and was a Gold Star Mother.

Burial will be in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kern-Schneider-Kiseau Funeral Home of Clinton.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris, and her husband, Roy Shepherd, of Arapaho; four sons, Herschel Snider and his wife, Norma, of McAlester, Cecil Snider and his wife, Flora Jean, of Owasso, Dale Snider and his wife, Betty, of Burns Flat and Don Snider and his wife, Vernell, of Weatherford; 15 Grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Walter Dunn, and his wife, Wenona, of Foss.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Snider also was preceded in death by three sisters, Mable Snider, Nellie Stocks and Viola Goss; two brothers, Leo and Leon Dunn; a son, Fred Snider (killed in World War II); and two grandsons, Gary and Jackie Snider.
