Sophia KASPER, she was born March 11, 1869, in Muscatine and was reared here,
receiving her education at St. Mary's Catholic school. She went to Davenport in
1893 and had resided there since that time. She was married to George H. MEIER
June 9, 1898, at Davenport by the Rev. Father Flannery of St. Anthony's church.
--- Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Dorothy E. CARLSON of Redwood,
Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. C. S. HARPER, rural route 5, Muscatine, Mrs.
Katherine SCHOO of Davenport, Mrs. Mary BISHOP and Mrs. Nettie KASPER, Both of
Muscatine; and one brother, Joseph KASPER, also of Muscatine. --- Funeral
services, to be held in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, have not yet been arranged.
Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery in Davenport.------------------- (written in

Tuesday at the Runge chapel and at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart cathedral in
Davenport. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Martin Cone celebrated a requiem high mass. The
Rev. E. C. Greer officiated at committal services in Oakdale mausoleum.
Pallbearers were William T. Ransom, J. B. Zoeckler, Kenneth SCHOO, Frank and
Hershel HARPER and William J. Rissman.
