JOSEPH H KASPER, 84, 615 East 10th, died at Muscatine General hospital on Tuesday, a few hours after he was stricken with a heart attack at his home. A resident of Muscatine since birth, Mr. Kasper was a retired custodian of the post office. When a young man he was a member of one of the volunteer firefighting units in Muscatine. He resided with two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bishop and Miss Nettie Kasper, his only immediate survivors, at the 10th street address. His parents, a brother and four sisters are dead. Funeral services for one sister, Mrs. Kate Schoo, Davenport, were held this morning in Davenport. Mr. Kasper was a member of St. Mathias church and attended St. Mathias school. His parents were Frank W. and Sophia Reinhart Kasper. He was born here Feb. 7, 1876. Requiem high mass will be celebrated on Friday at St. Mathias church. The rosary will be recited Thursday at the Riley funeral home, where friends may call this evening. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
