Noble was the son of Samuel Henry and Roxy Alma (Lyon) Johnson. He married Florence Rosalia Fitzsimmons. They had a daughter Mabel. Florence died in 1891. Noble then married Adelaide Machamer on April 5, 1892. They had five children: Ruth Hazel, Arby Roy, Lola Margarett, Harold Freeman and Helen Edith.
