Miss Vickie Johnson, 324 Main street, Freeport, daughter of the late S.H. Johnson, passed on early Thursday morning at St. Francis hospital of enlargement of the heart. Her health had been impaired for the past several years. During the past winter she had a fall and injured her side from which she never recovered.
The death of her sister, Miss Della Johnson, who passed on Sept. 15, 1930, brought great grief to her.
She attended Mt. Carroll Seminary and graduated in 1884. Three years later, she attended Mt. Morris College. In 1906 she took a business course at Brown's Business College at Freeport. She was very generous and always ready to help those less fortunate.
She joined the Church of God when quite young and retained her faith until the last.
Miss Johnson was born at Morseville Sept. 20, 1859. She is survived by three brothers and three sisters, Allen Johnson and Millard Johnson of Stockton; Mrs. Libbie Parker, Chicago; Mrs. Grace Griggs and Noble Johnson, Stockton; Mrs. Emma Dove, Sycamore.
The funeral was held Saturday *Methodist church at Morseville. Dr. Thos. K. Griffith officiated. Interment was at Morseville.
