Mrs. Charles Vogel. Of Mohawk, 73 Dies
Mohawk --- Mrs. Gertrude E. Vogel, 73, of 3 Henry St. died today in Herkimer Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born Feb. 22, 1893 in Little Falls, a daughter of Dennis and Anna Pauth Leon , she married Charles Vogel on Nov. 18,1915 in Little Falls. She had resided in Mohawk the past 26 years. She attended the Baptist Church.
Her husband survives; two sons, Carl, Herkimer and Charles of Ilion; a brother Frank Leon of Selkirk; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Edick of Ilion and Mrs. Ruth Huss of Utica; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Arthur Lacey, Ilion Baptist Church pastor will conduct services 2 p. m. Sunday from the Graves Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, in in the spring. Calling hours are 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 tomorrow and Saturday.
