Rites scheduled
Funeral services for Mrs. Ima Denker Brown, 88, of Paducah Rt. 9, a sister of the late Vice President Alben Barkley, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Roth Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Austin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the National Health Enterprise Nursing Home. A native of Lowes and the widow of Edgar R. Brown, she resided with a niece, Mrs. Payne Dyson. Mrs. Brown was a member of Unity United Church of Christ and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bernice Thieleman of Paducah; two grandchildren, Robert L. Denker of Paducah and Mrs. Marianne Sharpe of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two nephews, David M. Barkley of Paducah and George F. Barkley of Bowling Green; a niece, Mrs. Josephine Long of Bowling Green, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Albert Otto, John Oehischlaeger, Terrell Wyatt, Leonard Smith, Robert Denker, John Dyson and Payne Dyson.
