INDIANA -- Funeral services for Rev. A.G. Padgett, 81, of Albany, Indiana, were held today, November 5, in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey. Burial was in
Weeks Cemetery.
Rev. Padgett died Friday (November 2, 1990) in Albany following an extended illness.
Born May 22, 1909 in Overton County, he was the son of the late Millard and Ada Williams Padgett.
Rev. Padgett was a minister in the Upper Cumberland area for many years.
His family includes his wife, Avo Todd Padgett of Muncie, Indiana; seven daughters, Ruth and Mary Vaughn, both of Monterey, Agnes Wooton of Cincinalti, Ohio, Ada Masters of Crossville, Darlene Farley of Cookeville, Patricia Brosher of Celina, Ohio, and Ethel Lester of Muncie; eight sons R.T. Padgett of Crossville, Roy Padgett of Dunkirk,
Indiana, Don Padgett of Converse, Indiana, Millard Padgett of Ridgeville, Indiana, Sam, David and James Padgett, all of Munice, John Padgett of Parker City, Indiana, 43 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Rev. Padgett Was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Rev. Oliver England and Rev. Daily Norrod officiated at the
services.
