MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Lena Padgett Key, 82, of Dayton, Ohio,
formerly of Monterey, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tues., May 11, from the
chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Muddy Pond Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today, Mon., May 10, at the
funeral home.
Mrs. Key died on Sat., May 8, 1999, at her daughter's home in Midlothian,
Va.
She was born on March 27, 1917, in Overton County to the late Millard and
Ada Williams Padgett. Mrs. Key was a homemaker and a member of the Church of
the Nazarene.
Her family includes her husband, Arnold Key of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters,
Jeanette Key of Dayton and Wanda Lynn Noble of Midlothian; four sons, Lowell
Key of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Larry, Phillip and Ralph Key, all of Dayton; a
sister, Avie Jones of Cookeville; a brother, Ray Padgett of Livingston; a
half-brother, Wilbert Padgett of McMinnville; 15 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two daughters,
Diana Livingston and Reba Key.
Rev. Roy Nash will officiate at the services.
