Mr. Beers had been a teacher and in school administrative work. He was also superintendent of schools at David City, Nebraska for a time and from 1941 until he retired in 1952, he was state chemist for Nebraska.
He came to Ames in 1957 from Lincoln. Mr. Beers was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in 1950."
