Clarence took over the home place when his parents, Richard & Rhoda Beers, moved to Syracuse in 1908. He was married to Clara P. Von Schuetz and they had five children. After her death in 1921, he remarried in 1931 and retired to Syracuse. His son Allen assumed operation of the 426 acre estate.
