Robert Andrew was born in the Norwood Community, Benoit, Runnels Co., TX, eight miles east of Ballinger, just before his family moved to Lipan Flat, near Wall, Tom Green Co., TX. On 26 Dec 1904, the family moved to Arden Community, Irion Co., TX.

Robert A. died three days after his brother Jesse Henry in Arden Community, the cause is not known but it is believed that both brothers may have died having the same sickness.
