Opal Edith was the sixth child of W.R. & Lizzie Underwood and was the fourth daughter born in Texas. Opal attended Arden High School and was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse. She married Amos Ivy Marlar, 23 Apr 1920 in Tom Green Co., TX. She and Amos had three children. They lived in Sherman until Amos' death, when Opal moved to Florida to live with her son until her death. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
