William Frank Sparks, 76, of Aubrey, father of Denton County Commissioner Chester Sparks, died Wednesday at 11:30 pm at Flow Memorial Hospital.
Sparks was born August 17, 1892 in Denton. He married Elizabeth Kelsey August 1, 1914 in Denton. Sparks was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Sparks of Aubrey; two sons Chester Sparks and Ralph Sparks, both of Denton; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth George of Denton, Mrs. Ethel Bibbons of Argyle and Mrs. Olie James of Oklahoma, one brother Ray Sparks of Pilot Point; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Town North Baptist Church with the Reverand Dan Klampel officiating and assisted by Emmitt Clampitt; burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Schmitz, Floyd and Hamlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
