⬥︎Funeral services for G.W. Sparks, who died at his home three miles west of Stony Thursday evening, were held at the Cooper Creek Church at 11 o'clock Saturday morning with Rev. E.A. Drew of Aubrey in charge and Rev. J.L. Griffith of Denton assisting. Burial was in the Cooper cemetery.

C.E. Shifflett, R.L. Shifflett, E.C. Zerwer, M.H. Spradlin and E.I Key were pallbearers.

Besides his wife and three children, Sparks is survived by four brothers, Tom Sparks of Abernathy, Frank Sparks of Stamford, Ray and Steven Sparks of Denton, and five sisters, Mrs. Olia Jones of Yale. OK., Mrs. Ethel Gibbons of Argyle, Mrs. Ruth George of Roanoke, Mrs Amanda Louge of Wichita Falls and Mrs Milbra Chapman of Iowa Park.

G. Warren Sparks, a well know young farmer living three miles north of town, and Miss Naomi Cochran of the Mingo community were married Thursday afternoon at the Oak Street Methodist Episcopal church, Rev. R.L Serlle performing the ceremony.
