Mrs. Jessie Souter Duckett, 79, 456 W. Center St., died Saturday at 5:20 a.m., at her home after a long illness. She was born June 16, 1882, Liverpool, England to Andrew McKenzie and Sarah Harrison Souter.
She married Edward James Duckett on Sept. 23, 1903 at Liverpool, England. Together they came to the United States and Utah in 1912. Later, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, three daughters, Arthur L., John S., Mrs. A. Rex (Beverly) Dunford, all [of] Provo; Mrs. John P. (Ethel) Killgore, Mrs. J. Max (Irene) Roberts, both Salt Lake City; 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother, sisters, John H. Souter, Salt Lake City; Elizabeth Souter, Provo; Mrs. William E. (Jennie) Wolgamott, San Francisco.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Berg Drawing Room Chapel. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday prior to services. Interment will be at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery.
