Mr. Earl A. Burch Sr., 70, of Martinez, Georgia, entered into rest Wednesday, November 24, 1993, at Augusta Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Platt's Funeral Home, Belair Road, with the Rev. Larry C. Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Attaway, Kenny Puryear, Roger Vandiver, Archie Lee, Jim Riley and Robert Beach. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hope Sunday School Class of West Acres Baptist Church. Mr. Burch, a lifetime resident of Augusta, had retired as an optician with Friedman Jewelers for 41 years. He was a member of West Acres Baptist Church, where he was in the Hope Sunday School Class. He was a Mason and avid golfer and bowler. Survivors include his wife, Flora B. Burch; a son, Dr. Earl A. Burch Jr., Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter, Cindy Burch Bellamy, Augusta; a stepson, Larry Morris, Grovetown; two sisters, Dorothy Thompson, Augusta; and Irma Ballentine, Blythewood, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Brandy Bellamy and Jennifer Bellamy, both of Augusta.
