Mrs. Dorothy B. Thompson, age 76, wife of Walter E. Thompson, entered into rest Thursday, October 21, 2004 at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Crawford Avenue Chapel of Platt's Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Harris officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Thompson had retired from Curtis Baptist Church School Day Care as the Director, after 35 years of service. Survivors include five daughters, Donna T. Chalk of Cleveland, Ga., Gwen T. Vaughn of Bushnell, Fla., Wanda Attaway of North Augusta, Sonja T. Lee of Appling and Laura T. Puryear of North Augusta; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
