Michael Scieszinski, 76, of Janesville, Wis. died March 28 at Mercy Hospital there.

He was born at Melrose on Jan. 1, 1905, the son of William and Teresa Fitzgerald Scieszinski. A Janesville resident for 55 years, he was employed by GMAD for 43 years prior to retiring in 1970. He was a member of St. William Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club.

On Aug. 22, 1936, he married Lucille Ellebrecht. She died Dec. 12, 1979.

Surviving are one son, Terry of Janesville, Wis.; one daughter, Marlene Rogers of Lake Geneva, Wis.; three grandchildren; three brothers, William and John, both of Janesville, Wis.; and Maurice Scieszinski of Melrose, and five sisters, Mary Scieszinski of Melrose, Helen Scieszinski and Grace Martin, both of Des Moines, Regina Roach of Russell and Bernice McCarthy of Albia.

Services were March 31 at 10:45 a.m. in St. William Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Janesville, Wis. An Elks service and rosary were held at Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, Wis.
