Grace L. Roush, age 93, of Waukee, passed away August 10, 2015 at the Village of Legacy Pointe in Waukee.

Grace was born June 17, 1922 to William S. and Teresa(Fitzgerald)Scieszinski on the family farm near Melrose. She graduated from the Albia High School with the Class of 1940. She then attended the Ottumwa Heights in Ottumwa.

Grace worked at Iowa Packing Co. until they closed in 1967. She retired from the State of Iowa as a key punch operator.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Scieszinski; a step-daughter, Deb(Mike)Kriegermeier; step-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents William and Teresa; four sisters, Teresa Scieszinski, Mary Scieszinski, Berenice McCarty and Regina Roach; four brothers, Frank, Michael, William, and Maurice Scieszinski; and her husband Henry Roush.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Friday, August 14, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Melrose, with Father Patrick Lumsden officiating. Burial will follow services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Melrose. Visitation will be held from 11 am until 8 pm, Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Tharp Funeral home in Albia with Grace's family present from 5-8 pm. A rosary will be held at 7 pm. A memorial has been established to the Mt.Calvary Improvement Fund.
