Mrs. Katie B. Lausch, 86, Ephrata R2, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday at Ephrata Community Hospital after an illness of two weeks. She leaves 135 survivors.
Born in West Earl Twp., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emiline Powl Burkholder and was a member of Groffdale Frame Mennonite Church.
She was married twice. Her first husband, Abraham Witmer, died in 1913, her second, Graybill Lausch, died in 1928.
Survivors include eight children, Levi Witmer, Denver R2; Abram B. Witmer, Ephrata R2,with whom she resided; Milton Witmer, Ephrata; Esther, wife of Harry Gockley, Newmanstown; Almeta, wife of Ivan Hibshman, Ephrata R1; Paul B. Lausch, Leola; Jane, wife of John Gehr, Stevens R1 and Royd Lausch, Lawn.
Also surviving are one step-daughter, Eva, wife of Paul Hertzog, Ephrata R1; 42 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren and one brother, Ezra Burkholder, Akron.
