Susan P. (Burkholder) widow of Benjamin K. Herr died Sunday at the family home along the Old Philadelphia pike, Lancaster R5, following a brief illness, aged 78 years. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emaline (Powl) Burkholder and was a member of Mellinger's Mennonite church.

There survive these children: B. Frank, of Lancaster; George W., Farmersville: Paul B., Lancaster; Harvey B. and Jacob B., of Lancaster R5, who live on the home farm where she resided; Ivan B., New Holland R2; Ruth, wife of Marvin Marxen, Millway; and Ellis B., at home; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Mary Nolt, Ephrata RD; Mrs. Ida Hoover, New Holland RD; Levi Burkholder, California; Mrs. Jacob Reiff and Mrs. Isaac Zimmerman, both Bareville RD; Mrs. Katie Lausch, Farmersville; Frank, Lititz R4; and Ezra P., Ephrata RD.

Funeral was held yesterday with services in Mellingers church and interment in New Danville Mennonite cemetery.
