He was married December 24, 1911, to Laura Elizabeth Waugh, of Lucas, who passed away March 12, 1919. To this union three daughters were born.
On January 22, 1920, he was married to Mrs. Katie Howe, of Creston, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. John Airy of Des Moines, Mrs. James Sellers of Chico, Calif., and a stepson, Everett Howe of Orient, Iowa. One daughter died in infancy and a stepson, Edwin Howe preceded him in death.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his brother, George and family, who have done so much to help during his illness.
Funeral services were held at the Miley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Goshen cemetery.
