MINNIE ARMINDA MADDY

Minnie Arminda Mundell, eldest daughter of Robert and Louisa Mundell, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, on September 2, 1885, and departed this life at her home in Chariton, Iowa, Nov. 8, 1945, at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 6 days. She grew to young womanhood in Lucas county and has spent her entire life in this community.

On September 20, 1908 she was married to Arthur C. Green. To this union were born three sons and one daughter, two sons, Ray and Fred dying in infancy, one son, Elmer A. Green, and one daughter, Mrs. Elva Halferty survive. Her husband preceded her in death March 12, 1919.

On August 4, 1920, she married Andrew H. Maddy. To this union one son, James Robert Maddy, was born. Also surviving her are two step children, Mrs. Eileen Love and Mrs. Frances Ramsey, and nine grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends who will mourn her passing.

In the year 1919, under the pastorate of Rev. Russell, she joined the Methodist church in Derby, Iowa, and has continued in the faith of her Lord and Savior until He called her home.

Funeral services, in charge of the Rev. A. E. Beals, of Russell, were held Sunday, Nov. 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Miley funeral chapel. Burial was in the Derby cemetery.
