Anna Rebecca Walk (went by Peggy) was born at Friedberg, on the present day border between Forsyth and Davidson Counties, North Carolina. Peggy was the youngest of thirteen known children of Martin Walk Jr. (1737-1791) and Elisabeth (Liesel) Fiscus Walk (1750-1825), who married 22 Nov 1767 at Salem, Surry (then Stokes, then Forsyth) County, North Carolina.

Peggy married Philip Mock Jr. (1788-1851) in c1812 at presumably North Carolina. Peggy and Philip were the parents of eight known children, namely:

1. Anna Elizabeth Mock Beard (1813-p1860)
2. Elizabeth Mock (1815-???)
3. Adam Solomon Mock (1817-1885)
4. David William Mock (1819-1876)
5. Sarah Maria Mock Hinkle (1819-1891)
6. Philip Briton Mock (1824-???)
7. John A. Mock (1827-1882)
8. Hannah Jemima Mock (1829-1844)

In 1850 the widower Philip was living in the Northern Division of Davidson County, North Carolina. Living with him was Sarah Mock (age 50; a second wife?) and son John A. Mock.
