Harley was the baby of the family. Printice and May had 10 children.

He stayed home longer than any of the other children to help his father run the vegetable farm. When his father gave up farming, Harley went to Winslow, Navajo Co., Arizona to work for the Santa Fe Railroad which his brother Clarence already worked for. Printice had worked part time in the off season for the Santa Fe also.

He married at his brother Clarence's home on Winslow,Arizona. That was the day Clarence and Betty's youngest daughter was born also. She fixed a Wedding dinner for Harley & Ethel and then went to the Maternity Home and had me. Harley was very concious of his health and rode a bicycle every day to most places he went. Was a Ham radio operator. When he and his brother Warren were young, they cut their own crystals and operated the first radio station in the state of Kansas.

The Doile boys were all very very smart but had only an 8th grade education. Harley invented several things and held patent on them. Always busy doing something, even canning food at times. Just could not sit still.
