"Richard D. Graves, 57, apparently died while being taken to a St Joseph hospital Thursday night after being stricken at his home, 1608 Martha lane.

Mr. Graves was born in Doniphan County, Kan. [sic], and had been a resident of St Joseph most of his life. He had been employed in the car shop at Armour & Co., for 38 years.

Surviving are three sons, Richard E. Graves, Frank Graves and Ronnie Earl Graves, all of St Joseph; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Routon of Tigard, Ore., Mrs. Connie Barber of Kent, Wash., Mrs. Roxy Harsh-barger of Ferndale, Calif., and Mrs. Shirley Sutton, Mrs. Kathy Sears and Mrs. Sharon Kunzler, all of St Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Morgan of Gallatin, Mo., and Mrs. Lizzie Curtin of Oakland, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."
