Son of the late Julius and Virginia Leftwich Carr, he was born in Putnam County on April 8, 1919. Mr. Carr was a construction worker.
His family includes one daughter and soninlaw, Jean and Skip Bartlett of Baxter; two brothers, Troy Carr of the Boma Community and Kenneth Carr of Indiana; one sister, Anna Dee Lowe of the Boma Community; two grandchildren, Dennie Wayne Carr and Regina Carr Walker, and one greatgrandchild.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Samantha Carr; two sons, Louie Wayne and Galen Carr; three sisters, Mary Virginia Sutton, Vela Belle Cowan and Martha Prichard; four brothers, Bailey, Neal, Olcie and Cordell Carr.
