BAXTER – Funeral services for Louis Leftwich Carr, 75, of Baxter will be held Sunday, October 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery.
Mr. Carr died today, October 28, 1994, in Cookeville General Hospital.
Son of the late Julius and Virginia Leftwich Carr, he was born in Putnam County on April 8, 1919. Mr. Carr was a construction worker.
His family includes one daughter and soninlaw, Jean and Skip Bartlett of Baxter; two brothers, Troy Carr of the Boma Community and Kenneth Carr of Indiana; one sister, Anna Dee Lowe of the Boma Community; two grandchildren, Dennie Wayne Carr and Regina Carr Walker, and one greatgrandchild.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Samantha Carr; two sons, Louie Wayne and Galen Carr; three sisters, Mary Virginia Sutton, Vela Belle Cowan and Martha Prichard; four brothers, Bailey, Neal, Olcie and Cordell Carr.
