A native of Putnam County born October 4, 1911, he was the son of the late Julius Franklin and Virginia Leftwich Carr.
His family includes two daughters, Joyce Fisher of Silver Point and Josie Buckner of AL; three sons, Darrell Carr of CA, Morris Carr and Robert N. "Bob" Carr, both of Baxter; three sisters, Martha Prichard
of Silver Point, Vela Belle Cowan of Cookeville, and Anna Dee Lowe of Silver Point; three brothers, Kenneth Carr of IN, Louis Carr of Baxter and Troy Carr of Silver Point; 13 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren.
