COOKEVILLE – Funeral services for Ova Margaret Jernigan Julian, 82, of Baxter will be held Sunday, March 12, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Julian was dead on arrival at Jackson County Hospital Thursday, March 9, 1995.
Daughter of the late Grady and Nola Lowe Jernigan, she was born September 16, 1912, in Putnam County.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Boma Church of God.
Her family includes two sons, Thurman and Lonnie Julian, both of Baxter; two daughters, Joyce Baird of Knoxville and Shirley Maynard of Baxter; three brothers, Glenis and Henry Jernigan, both of Baxter, and Norman Jernigan of Cincinnati, Ohio; six sisters, Olive Jared, Nell Walker, Pearl Harris, and Jean Robinson, all of Baxter, Doris Watson of Michigan, and Judy Moore of Texas; 17 grandchildren; 29 greatgrandchildren; and five greatgreatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Julian; one daughter, Lois Julian; one son, Herman Julian; three brothers, Charlie, Jasper, and Thurman Jernigan; and one sister, Essie Kremske.
