She was born June 15, 1928 in Boma, TN to the late Henry Grady and Nola Edna Lowe Jernigan.

Granny Pearl was above all, the best cook ever! No one could make chocolate and biscuits and chicken and dumplings like Gran. She loved to garden, can beans, take care of all the babies in the neighborhood, sitting on the front porch, reading novels, drinking coffee and playing rook with her daughter and sisters and above all, she loved when friends and family would stop by and visit her. May we all hope to live as long and be loved by so many like our Granny Pearl.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sandra "Sandy" Diane and Wanas Martin of Cookeville; son, Larry Dean Harris of Baxter; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Arnold Robinson of Baxter; brother and sister-in-law, Norman Bird and Peggy Jernigan of Troy, MI; grandchildren: Tawna Rae Kelley of Utah, Wanas Rainn Martin of Cookeville, Autumn Briez Boucher of Utah, Dana Lee Hollinsworth of Mt. Juliet, Jonathan Woodrow Riley (Leslie) Harris of Baxter; many great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored.
