Jasper Wilson Jernigan
The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Jernigan and claimed for its victim their little son, Jasper Wilson. He was born Aug. 17, 1930 and departed this life June 27, 1934, age three years ten months and ten days. He was called "Buddie" by all his little friends. He was a very bright child and showed much love for his family and all whom he met. He was a great lover of flowers and liked to go to Sunday school. It is very hard to give up our precious little ones but God in His infinite wisdom saw fit to take Buddie, and we will have to live in such a manner that we can go to him, as he cannot come back to us.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his parents, five sisters, and four brothers.
He was laid to rest in the Smellage Cemetary.
Parents: Henry Woodrow Grady Jernigan and Edna Nola Lowe Jernigan
Sisters: Essie Jernigan Lamanski, Ova Jernigan Julian, Olive Lee Jernigan Jared, Nell Jane Jernigan Leftwich, Pearl Jernigan Harris
Sisters born after he died: Pamela Doris Jernigan Watson, Judy Jernigan Keton, Jean Jernigan Robinson
Brothers: William Charlie Jernigan, Glenn Jernigan, Henry Jernigan Jr., Norman Byrd Jernigan
Proceeded in death by one brother: Thurman Jernigan
