Edmund Heaton, aged about 27 years, died suddenly at home northeast of town Monday afternoon June 1st, 1891, about 5 o’clock. He had been ill for a long time having never recovered from an attack of La Grippe. He has been growing slowly weaker but on Monday seemed to be in his usual health and was quite cheerful. He was uptown during the day and was assisting in unloading a load of lumber at his home when he was taken with a violent coughing spell which produced hemorrhage and he died before medical assistance could arrive. Edmund was a quiet, peaceful and industrious young man and his sorrowing mother and family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad affliction. The funeral services were conducted at the house on Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J.S. Onion and the remains laid to rest in the Brimfield Cemetery by the side of his brother who died about two months ago.
