DEATH COMES TO L.J. BROWN Well Known Business Man Following Operation.
Feeling that death awaited him when he went to the city hospital Tuesday night L.J. Brown, the well known business man had the right intuition, as he died this morning despite the efforts of family and physicians.

The illness was from bowel trouble and Mr. brown was taken to the hospital after being ill a day, and while the operation was very serious, yet the doctors were not without hope. For a time he seemed to show signs of improvement, but some hours before his death this morning it was evident that the end was near and the family was at his bedside.

Soon after the death the body was taken to the McDaniels undertaking establishment for an autopsy to fully determine the actual cause of illness.

Mr. Brown had been ill all day Tueaday and when told that an operation was necessary as a chance for life, he said that he would take the chance, though he doubted if he won. So satisfied was he that he would not return alive, he had both Elders Adamson and Harvey of the Church of Christ of which he was a devout member, called to his home and with the family a final service was held of decotion and prayer. Mr. Brown also made his will and gave the family his deisres if the worst hahppened and then he left the home with a smile and content in whatever might be the result.

Mr. Brown was a well known resident, a son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Brown, having been born and raised west of the city, and he was one of a number of well known children. He has lieved in the city for several years, and besides the wife thee are two daughters Miss Bernice, bookkeeper in the Karsell flouring mill, and Miss Iola, age 8.
