HORSES KICK FATAL TO FARMER
Henry Brown, Age 67, near Stanford, Found dead in Barn by Son Orville--Skull Fractured and Jaw Broken--Body Brought to this City.

To be kicked by a horse and killed was the fate this mornig of Henry A Brown, aged 67 and one of the best known farmers of Monroe county.

The accident too place on the farm of Mr. Brown which is near Stanford, 9 miles southwest of Bloomington. Mr. Brown was dead when he was found and the body was brought to the Allen & Allen home here for the corner's inquest.

The accident took place when Mr. Brown attempted to fix a shoe on one of his horses. The animal kicked him and knocked him against a heavy timber, fracturing his skull and breaking his jaw. His body was found by his son, Orville, who lives on a near by farm. The accident cast a gloom over the entire Stanford community as Mr. Brown was one of the highly respected men of that section.

Mr. Brown was raised in Monroe county and lived here about all his life. He was a member of the Baptist church at Stanford and also a leading Republican. He is survived by 6 children; C.F. of this city; Dean of Indianapolis; Orville, of near Stanford; Harry of Solaberry; Mrs. Pearl Shively of this city; and Mrs. Mlary Eastham, of Vinennes. He is also survived by three brothers; Luther of Indianapolis; Robert of Tennessee; and E.J. west of the city. There are also three sisters; Mrs. Albert Howard and Mrs. Benjamin Rannard of this county; Mrs. Ben Hall of Elliotsville; and Mrs. Elmer St. Clair of Indianapolis.

The funeral of Henry A. Brown of near Stanford, who was kicked by a horse will be tomorrow at 2 o'clock but the place has not been decided.

Harry Allen, deputy coroner, decided that the death was accidental in accordance with the details in the telephone yesterday.
