Funeral Services for Luther Brown, 79, 815 S. Grant, who died Monday at Bloomington Hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Day Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Howard Anderson will officiate, and burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Clyde and Lawrence Fox, Wayne Burkhart, Earl Mitchell, Merl Long and Orville Hazel.Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and will include Oscar and Fred Hall, Orville, Carey, Chester and Ercell Brown, Russell Ranard and Arthur Howard.
Immediate survivors of Brown are his wife, Edith Brown, two sons Hubert and Everett Brown, a sister, Mrs. Laura St. Clair, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Brown was a Mason, and a member of the Elks and Moose lodges, and First Christian Church.
Elks will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Day Funeral Home, where the body remains and may be viewed after 7p.m. today.
