A former Wellington woman, Mrs. R.C. Tennison of Brownwood, died in an Abilene hospital at 11 p.m. Saturday, April 1, of injuries received in a car accident 12 hours earlier.

She was the wife of Dr. R.C. Tennison, retired Baptist minister, and before her marriage, she was Miss Grace Cagle of Wellington. She was a graduate of Wellington High School with the Class of 1922.

The couple was en route to Idalou where Dr. Tennison was to be a speaker at the homecoming of Idalou Baptist Church Sunday.

The accident occurred near Abilene and relatives said a car coming onto the highway from a side road struck the Tennison car on the driver's side. Mrs. Tennison , who was driving, was critically injured. He was treated for bruises and shock.

Dr. and Mrs. Tennison were married in Wellington on May 9, 1929, and Idalou was their first pastorate after this.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church at Brownwood at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 3. Burial was in the cemetery at Hamilton, where they formerly lived while he was pastor of the Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Tennison is her husband, Dr. R.C. Tennison, 1914 Brady Avenue, Brownwood; one daughter, Mrs. Ramona Aiken of Ballinger; two sons, Bob Tennison of Arlington and Isaac Tennison of Sherman; and three step-sons, Dr. Clifton Tennison of West Monroe, Louisiana, Eugene Tennison of Wichita Falls, and Grayson Tennison, a missionary in Portugal. there are eight grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Other survivors are her mother, Mrs. Harmon Isaac Cagle of Amarillo; three sisters and three brothers; Miss Daisy Cagle and Mrs. Otis Milton of Amarillo, Mrs. Curtis Simpson of Floydada, W.W. Cagle of Hollis, Dr. R.H. (Dick) Cagle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Fred Cagle of Amarillo; also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Floyd Mitchell of Waco.
