Miss Daisy M. Cagle, whose 25 year teaching career was in the public schools of Collingsworth County, died in Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, Tuesday, December 13. She was 81. She had lived in Hollis with a brother, Bill Cagle, since 1975.

Miss Cagle taught for 15 years in the Quail School before retiring in 1949 to be with her aging parents, and to help her father in his business affairs after he became blind. She later lived in Amarillo.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Cagle, she was born January 14, 1898 in Montague County, near Hardy. The family moved to Seminole County Oklahoma in 1902, and to Collingsworth County in 1914, settling three miles west of Wellington. Later they moved to their farm three miles west of Quail.

Miss Cagle attended Baylor University, Waco, and West Texas State University. She became a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma, and was a charter member of the Missionary Baptist church at Quail in 1927.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Otis (Ora Mae) Milton of Amarillo and Mrs. Sanford (Curtis M.) Simmons of New Braunfels; two brothers, W.W. (Bill) Cagle of Hollis and Fred Cagle of Amarillo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dr. Penn Cagle and Dr. Dick Cagle; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Elena Tennison.
