Mr. Cagle was born July 16, 1910, in Konawa, Seminole County, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. Fred Ray Cagle graduated from Wellington (Texas) High School with the Class of 1931.
He made his glorious transition from this life to his Heavenly home after a long, productive and happy life. His journey was wonderful and he was met by his Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus, and a host of family to join him.
Mr. Cagle was a lifelong resident of the Texas Panhandle, where he farmed, did custom wheat cutting, residential construction, G.I. building inspection and code enforcement for the city of Amarillo. He was deacon emeritus at Temple Baptist Church where he served as an active deacon for many years. His greatest joy was realized in his service to his Lord and fellow man. He and his wife, Obrietta, were married for 67 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Daryl Cagle and wife, Gay Lyn, of Canyon, and Anson Cagle and wife, Sue, of Amarillo; one sister, Ora Mae Milton of Amarillo; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Temple Baptist Church; or BSA Hospice.
The family will receive visitors at 4400 Chandler Drive after the service.
