SALT LAKE CITY--Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at 4760 S. State Street, for Darrell LeRoy Holfeltz, 68, who died Saturday, March 8, 1975 in a Salt Lake hospital following an illness.
He was born December 23, 1906 in Midway to James and Emma Mae Henry Holfeltz. He married Sylvia Snarr on July 9, 1928 in Park City.
He was a carpenter and past president of Murray Horseshoe Association, United Steelworkers of America and the Eagles. He also was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Barbara) Eatchel, Sandy; Barton L. Holfeltz, Holladay; Mrs. Wayne (Sue) Crawford, Salt Lake City and Richard Dale Holfeltz, Little Rock, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers and seven sisters, LaMont Holfeltz, Duane Holfeltz and Mrs. Mel )Bea) Sacramento, all of Salt Lake City; Glen Holfeltz, Castro Valley, California; James Holfeltz, Magna; Mrs. Twilla Jackson, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Albert (Mae) Freestone, Mrs. Gilbert (Glenda Rae) Brown and Mrs. Nelda Dunn, all of Vernal; Mrs. Don (Leah) Hicken, Cortez, Colorado and Mrs. Don (Donna Lee) Poplin, Granger.
Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour before services. Burial will be in Murray City Cemetery.
