Lincoln Blacker Gardner, 75, died July 25, 1987 at his home in West Point, UT of cancer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 28, in the west Point Stake Center with Bishop Kent Henderson officiating. Interment was in the Syracuse City Cemetery.

Born Dec 13, 1911 in Afton WY to Brigham Delos and Maria Blacker Gardner, the fifth of 13 children. He married Phyllis Crosby Jan 14, 1939 in Cowley WY; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, 1940. A BYU graduate he taught school in Wyoming and Utah for 30 years. He was a partner in Big Vern's Service station and in later years was in the real estate business.

Survivors are his wife, West Point, seven sons and two daughters; Gary C., Rexburg, ID; Kem, serving as mission president in Boston MA; Dan, Clearfield; Phil, Layton; Greg, Kaysville; Scott, Centerville; Rulon Syracuse; Mrs David (Suzanne) Scott, Salt Lake City; Mrs Keith R. (Sally) Read, New York City; 44 grandchildren, three brothers and seven sisters; Delos, Mrs Hillary (Allie) Hyde, Mrs Loren (Elna) Mallory, Dorothy Cleghorn, all of Afton; Vera Ogden; Darrel west Point; Marguerite Konopnicki, Sunset; Cumora Miles, Clearfield; Maxine VanBrocklin, Kaysville; Mrs Lee (Genevieve) Bullard, far west. Preceded in death by two brothers.
