Dorothy Gardner Cleghon 84, of Afton died peacefully Wednesday May 13, 1998, in Bountiful UT.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, 1998, at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. Interment Star Valley.
She was born Sept 23, 1913, to Brigham and Maria Gardner. Dorothy worked at Hill Air Force Base during WWII and then served form many years as an LPN and surgical nurse at the LDS Hospital in Afton. She courageously returned to school at the age of 51 and graduated as a R.N. from Weber State College in 1964. She then worked at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City where she retired in 1976.
Dorothy a born healer, loved dancing, horseback ridding, bowling and her family.
She is survived by three children, Kayleen Clasby of West Valley City UT; Cecile Stephens of Denver; Dr. Vaughn Cleghon of Frederick MD; also three sisters, Camera Miles, Maxine Van Brocklin and Genevieve Ballard all of Utah; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
