Ira Lee Kennington, 88, last of the William Henry Kennington family, died March 17, 1978 in Salt Lake City at the home of his son, Emerson Kennington.
He was born to William Henry and Elizabeth Lee Kennington Dec. 26, 1889 in Afton, where he lived until about 1920.
He and Emaline Humpherys were married May 1915 and they became the parents of six children; Emerson, Bernell, Paul (deceased) Mark, Genoa and Cumorah.
Emaline died in 1949.
Ira married Vilate Fellows in 1952 and she died in 1974.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21 in his home town of Preston, Idaho. Interment was in the Preston Cemetery.
