O'Neal Fred Gagnon, 89, Burket, died at 4 a.m. Sunday in his residence. Born May 15. 1905, in Beaverville, III., he was the son of Edward and Armin Blais Gagnon. On March 23, 1929, in Athens, he was married to Mamie May Linebrink, who survives. He was a farmer, having farmed in the Akron and Burket areas until retiring in 1976. He was a member of Silver Creek Church of God. Also surviving are two daughters, Rose Boyer, Burket, and Linda Manuel, Warsaw; two sons, Virgil Gagnon, Henderson, Nev., and David Gagnon, Walton; two brothers, Russell Gagnon,. South Whitley; and Blair Gagnon, Ligonier; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, one son, one grandson, two sisters and seven brothers preceded in death.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Silver Creek Church of God, with the Rev. Roy W. Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Silver Creek. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, and at the church one hour prior to the service Wednesday. -Pharos Tribune, July 11, 1994
