Mr. Jesse Oliver Luke, 66, of 708 Jackson Street, Thomson, Georgia, entered into rest Sunday, August 16, 1981, at McDuffie County Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence Baston and Phil Pilgrim officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. Mr. Luke was a native of Columbia County but had lived most of his life in McDuffie County. He was owner and operator of Luke's Barber Shop, a member of the Woodmen of the World and Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Delle Taylor Luke; two sisters, Mary Johnson and Effie Gilmer, Dearing, Ga., and two brothers, John Luke, Augusta, and Richard Luke, Thomson. Curtis Funeral Home.
