Mr. Leonard Gordon Luke, 72, of 2116 Bayvale Road, Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Wednesday, May 31, 1978, in an Augusta hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel, Martinez, with the Revs. Robert Boyd and Max Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be members of the Glenn Hills Baptist Church Men's Bible Class. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. He was a native of Columbia County. Ga., and lived most of his life in Richmond and Columbia counties. He was retired from the Augusta Hardwood Co. and was a member of Woodmen of the World and Glenn Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Heath Luke, Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Lamm, Moncks Corner, S.C., and Mrs. Betty Jones, Augusta; one son, Amos Luke, Martinez; two sisters; Mrs. Effie Gilmer and Mrs. Mary L Johnson, Dearing, and three brothers, John Luke, Augusta, and Richard Luke and Jessie Luke Thomson, Ga.
