The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Bingham officiating.
Full military rites will be conducted at Floral Hill Cemetery where interment will be made.
Dr. Moore was born October 4, 1885 at Brashear, Missouri, the son of Joseph Marion and Catherine Ann (Rowe) Moore. He died at Hoopeston Community Memorial hospital at 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 6, 1967 where he had been a patient since Saturday.
He married Mabell Cater at LaPlata, Missouri, September 14, 1914, who with a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hindley, Woodland Hills, California, and a son, Joseph C. Moore, II, local attorney, survives. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Merle Funk of Kirksville, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
Dr. Moore had lived here 47 years, coming from Brimfield, Missouri, and had practiced medicine since then. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and active in all church phases. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Ira Owen Kreager American Legion post 384, of hwich he was a past commander. He was a charter member of the Hoopeston Rotary Club and served Hoopeston Community Memorial hospital as its first president of the medical staff.
A member of the Vermilion County Illinois State Medical association, he received a 50-year pin in 1966 in recognition of his service.
Friends will be received at the Wood Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight.
