Mrs. Sylvia (Moore) Anderson died in the Eastern Star Home in Denver, Colorado Thursday afternoon at four o'clock. She had been in poor health for some time.
A daughter of the late Joseph M. and Catherine (Rowe) Moore, she was born on a farm just east of Gibbs, Missouri. Later the family moved to a farm north of Brashear and also lived in Gibbs, Hurdland and Brashear.
She is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. May M. Derfler of Hyattsville, Maryland and Mrs. Claude E. (Merle) Funk of 314 N. Florence, Kirksville, Foster R. Moore of Brashear and Dr. J.C. Moore, Hoopeston, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Anderson taught music at Prairie Hill, Missouri where she met and married William H. Anderson. They lived in Brashear and Hurdland a few years, then moved to Colorado Springs where they established their home. Mr. Anderson died March 25, 1955 and Mrs. Anderson continued living at Colorado Springs until about a year ago when she went to the Eastern Star Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Funk left Saturday for Colorado Springs for the funeral which will be Monday morning at ten o'clock.
