Mrs. Ancie M. Mauck, 69, died suddenly in her home at 907 E. Jefferson Street Sunday morning at 8:20. She was stricken unexpectedly in the kitchen. She had suffered a light stroke Christmas Day but apparently was recovering from that.
Funeral services will be held at the Davis & Wigal Chapel, 202 E. Washington, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. Ralph Hicks. Interment will be in the Brashear cemetery.
Cassie Floy Moore was born at Brashear October 4, 1885, the daughter of Joseph M. and Catherine Ann (Rowe) Moore. She was married to Ancie M. Mauck February 5, 1911 at the home of her parents in Brashear.
Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, John of Kirksville, Wade of Kirksville, route 4, Marion of Brashear, Ronald of Moberly and Foster of Grosse Pointe, Michigan; two daughters, Mrs. Seaman (Mildred) Pipes of Kirksville and Mrs. Harold (Mary Evalyn) Wright of Independence, Missouri; 17 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Morna Crossgrove of Brashear, Mrs. W.H. (Sylvia) Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mrs. May Derfler of St. Louis and Mrs. Claude E. (Merle) Funk of Kirksville; two brothers, Foster R. Moore of Brashear and Dr. J.C. Moore, a twin, of Hoopeston, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Mauck lived on a farm in the Sabbath Home community until 1945 when they retired and moved to Kirksville. Mrs. Mauck was a member of the Sabbath Home church and Army Mothers and had been active in the Methodist church of Kirksville during their residence here.
Bearers will be Arthur Crossgrove, Arthur Dale Crossgrove, Dr. R.L. Clark, Robert Sees, C.V. Barnhart and Dean Funk.
