E. Frank (Frankie) Burrell, 63, retired farmer of Durant, died Monday, December 16 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18 at Southern Funeral Home in Durant with the Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial in Mizpah Cemetery.

Mr. Burrell was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Durant Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty Gunn Burrel1; a daughter, Ricki Burrell Smith of Starkville; two sons, Sammy Burrell of Meridian and Bill Burrell of Durant; five sisters, Clydie Dickerson and Clara Myers, both of Durant, Bobbye Mullen of West, Doris Ables of Carrollton and Bess Stouch or Mt. vernon, Ohio; two brothers, James Burrell of Durant and Trent Burrell of Canton; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Active pallbearers were Charles Myers, Kenneth Dickerson, Glyn Dickerson, Lee Burrell, Doug Burrell and Frank Hague.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Hague, Wayne Burrell, Luther Burrell and Richard Burrell.
